Petitioner claims to have applied for appointment to the post of Constable in U.P. Police and has scored 416 marks. It appears that at the time when petitioner was called for document verification, he could not produce his original high school and intermediate mark-sheets/certificates as the same was reported to be missing. Petitioner submits that subsequently those certificates have been traced out and he has approached the authorities for consideration, but his claim has not been examined. A notice dated 7.9.2018 has been produced before the Court, as per which, the Police Recruitment Board is proceeding to consider certain more candidates as about 1366 posts have remained vacant. Contention is that petitioner's claim can also be considered now, pursuant to the notice dated 7.9.2018, inasmuch as he has scored higher marks, than those who are now being called for document verification.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner's grievance shall be examined by the authority competent, in accordance with law.
In the facts and circumstances, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the Police Recruitment Board to consider petitioner's claim for appointment to the post of Constable in U.P. Police, provided the petitioner is able to produce his original high school and intermediate mark- sheets/certificates, pursuant to process being undertaken in accordance with notice published on 7.9.2018, within a period of six weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
