Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record.
The present petition has been filed for direction upon the court of Principal Judge, Family Court, Jaunpur to decide Case No.584 of 2016 (Dinesh Kumar Vs. Rekha Devi), under Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act within stipulated period.
It is the case of the petitioner that the matter was earlier referred to the mediation centre for exploring possibility of compromise between the parties but no compromise could be arrived at. It is thus the prayer of the petitioner that keeping in mind the provisions of Section 21 B of the Hindu Marriage Act, the court concerned should be directed to proceed with the matter expeditiously.
Considering the facts of the case as also that the matter relates to matrimonial dispute, this Court considers it appropriate to dispose of this petition by observing that in absence of any legal impediment, the court concerned shall ensure that the proceedings are brought to its logical conclusion expeditiously without entertaining unnecessary adjournments from the parties.
With the aforesaid observation, the petition is disposed off.
