The issue sought to be raised in the instant writ petition is in respect of a Demand Notice, dated 5th July, 2019, issued by the respondent no. 3 / Regional Transport Officer, Transport Department, Prayagraj with regard to demand of Rs.48,400/-.
In the event, the writ petitioner is able to pay the amount of Rs. 48,400/-, as demanded in the Demand Notice, dated 5th July, 2019, in six equated monthly instalments, payable on 31st of each successive month, beginning 31st December, 2019, the concerned authority shall not proceed against the writ petitioner. However, in the event of a single default, the protection afforded to the writ petitioner by virtue of this order shall automatically cease and it will be open to the respondent no. 3 or any other competent authority of the State to proceed against the writ petitioner in accordance with law.
The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
