Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State respondents and perused the record.
Present petition has been filed for directing to the respondent no. 2 to sanction him Arms license of NPB Pistol No.R.P.128155 and license No. 510/93/Police Station Kotwali Nagar Pratapgarh to the petitioner on account of family heir loom in pursuant application dated 31.12.2020.
Instruction dated 20.9.2021 filed by respondent no. 3 are taken on record.
The case of the petitioner is that he had applied for grant of an arms licence on 31.12.2020 but no order has been passed and the said application is still pending with the District Magistrate/ Licensing Authority, Prayagraj.
Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this writ petition is finally disposed of with the direction that the application of the petitioner dated 31.12.2020 shall be considered and decided by the respondent no. 2, District Magistrate/ Licensing Authority, District- Prayagraj, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of self- attested copy of this order, which may be verified from the official website of this Court.
With the aforesaid observation/ direction, present petition stands disposed of.
