1. Supplementary affidavit filed today is taken on record.
2. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
3. The petitioner is claiming issuance of an arms license under the heirloom category of the State. In this regard, it is disclosed in the supplementary affidavit that the petitioner's father died on 05.11.2016. Thereafter, the petitioner claims to have been made an application for issuance of an arms license on 19.04.2018 before the respondent no. 2.
4. In view of the above, without entering the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the petitioner's application in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months, from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
