In view of the fax message addressed by the Deputy Secretary, Home Department dated 01.05.2012 to the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor stating that the appeal of the petitioner will be decided on merit and in order, at this stage, grievance of the petitioner does not survive.
However, it is made clear that the appellate authority shall take all necessary steps to see that the appeals filed against the orders of the competent authority shall be given priority. In statutory appeal, no delay shall take place and the appellate authority is hereby directed to decide the appeal, as stated in the fax message.
With the aforesaid, this petition stands disposed of.
