Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Vikram Bahadur Yadav learned Standing Counsel.
Undisputedly at the time when the promotional exercise was finalized in 2018, the case of the petitioner was not considered since an adverse entry operated. The said adverse entry is stated to have been set aside on 22 January 2019. It is in that backdrop that the petitioner has now addressed the prayer for being considered for promotion as Inspector.
Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent states that subject to verification of all facts and contentions on merits being left open, the claim of the petitioner in this respect shall be duly attended to and disposed of by the said respondent in accordance with law and preferably within a period of four months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
Accordingly and without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
