Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel for the State.
The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent No. 2 to decide the application of grant of license of Revolver/Pistol to the petitioner.
Considering the circumstances of the case, the respondent No. 2 is directed to decide the aforesaid application within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him in case there is no legal impediment in deciding the aforesaid application.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
It is clarified that the Court has not expressed any opinion regarding the claim of the petitioner for grant of arms license.
