The petitioner has preferred the present petition inter-alia with the prayer to direct the respondent no.2, Director of Education (Secondary), U.P., Lucknow to decide the appeal submitted by the petitioner dated 27.09.2011.
It is argued by the counsel for the petitioner that statutory appeal against the order passed by the Joint Director of Education, Kanpur Region, Kanpur dated 14.06.2010 was preferred by him before the Director of Education namely respondent no. 2. It is further argued that since no decision was taken on the aforesaid appeal, reminder was also made by him. It is argued that though considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no decision has been taken.
Heard counsel for the parties.
With the consent of counsel for the parties and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of finally directing the respondent no. 2, Director of Education (Secondary), U.P., Lucknow to decide the aforesaid appeal expeditiously, if not yet been decided.
In case the decision has already been taken in the aforesaid appeal, the same should be communicated to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today.
