ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed feeling aggrieved by notice in Rc.No.D3/1949/2012, dated 09.01.2014, issued by respondent No.3, whereby he has fixed 21.01.2014 at 10.30 am for enquiry into the petitioners’ claim that they are local area Schedule Tribes.
At the hearing, Sri T.G.Prasad Reddy, the learned counsel for the petitioners, submitted that as all the petitioners were selected as Junior Plant Attendants under non-local category, there was no need for respondent No.3 to hold an enquiry into the petitioners’ status as the local area Schedule Tribes.
In my opinion, if the petitioners were selected under non-local category, the impugned notice does not in any manner affect their interests. Therefore, it is wholly unnecessary for the petitioners to question the impugned notice issued by respondent No.3. Neither of the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties is able to state as to what transpired on 21.01.2014, the date fixed for enquiry.
The petitioners are left free to inform respondent No.3 that in view of their selection under non-local category, it is unnecessary to hold an enquiry as proposed by him into their status as local area Schedule Tribes.
Subject to the liberty given to the petitioners as above, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
As a sequel to disposal of the Writ Petition, W.P.M.P.No.1545 of 2014 is disposed of as infructuous.
