1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. While no mandamus may be issued for decision of the petitioner's application filed in the year 2010 for grant of fire arm license, meanwhile, Arms Rules, 2016 have been enforced prescribing a new proforma and procedure for issuance of the said license.
3. In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with the direction that in case the petitioner files a fresh application under Arms Rules 2016, within a period of two weeks from today along with a certified copy of this order, it is expected that the licensing authority may proceed to decide the said application, strictly in accordance with law, keeping in mind the time lines provided under those Rules.
