The sole prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the Prescribed Authority to decide P.A. Case No.7 of 2016 within a stipulated time frame.
The release application registered as P.A. Case No.7 of 2016 is pending at the behest of the petitioner. A perusal of the order sheet reveals that the defendant has already entered appearance and is contesting the proceedings. The court has fixed several dates for evidence of the defendant.
Having regard to the facts of the case and the submissions made, the instant petition is disposed of by directing the Prescribed Authority to make serious endeavour to decide the proceedings expeditiously, by fixing short dates and without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties.
