Respondent/ Complainant Petition under sections 437 & 439 of Cr.PC., praying that in the circumstances stated in the memo of grounds filed herein, the High Court may be pleased to enlarge the petitioners on bail in Crime No. 31/2014 of Markapur Town PS, Prakasam District, The petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the Petition and the memo of grounds filed herein, and upon hearing the arguments of Sri N. Ravi Prasad, Advocate for the Petitioner, and of Public Prosecutor for Respondent, the Court made the following.
ORDER:
The petitioner is A-2. He seeks for grant of bail. He allegedly committed offences under the provisions of NDPS Act. The petitioner was found to be in possession of 1 ½ kgs Ganja, which is far below the commercial quantity. It would appear that seven witnesses have been examined by the investigating agency. In view of the quantity of the Ganja seized from the petitioner and in view of the stage of the investigation, I consider it appropriate to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Consequently, this Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioner is enlarged on bail on a personal bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties in a likesum to the satisfaction of learned I Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Markapur. After his release, the petitioner shall appear on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 9.00 AM and 6.00 PM before the SHO, Markapur Town Police Station, Prakasam District for a period of three months.
