The petitioner has preferred the present petition inter-alia with the following prayer :
"i) issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents to compare the aggregate marks obtained by the petitioner for the recruitment drive for the U.P. Civil Police Constables, 2005 along with marks obtained by the candidates of Dependent of Freedom Fighter category.
ii) issue a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to provide to the petitioner the statement of marks obtained by the petitioner in the U.P. Civil Police Constables recruitment drive, 2005 and statement of marks of the lowest merit candidate of Dependent of Freedom Fighter category for the aforesaid recruitment drive."
The writ petition was filed in the year 2005.
After passage of 15 years, the Court is of the opinion that the relief sought by the petitioner cannot be granted.
The writ petition is dismissed.
