JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 10
Case :- WRIT - C No. - 17290 of 2021 Petitioner :- Deshpal Singh Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Subhash Chandra Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Brahmanand Singh
Hon'ble Siddhartha Varma,J.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel and Sri Brahmanand Singh, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-Bank.
This petition has been filed against the recovery proceedings which had been initiated by the respondent-bank.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is ready to pay the amount which is due from him.
Learned counsel for the bank submitted that if the petitioner approaches the bank, then the bank would settle the account of the petitioner under the One Time Settlement Scheme which is, in the present time, being provided to various defaulters.
Under such circumstances, the petitioner may approach the respondent-bank within a period of ten days from today which shall settle the account of the petitioner under the prevailing settlement scheme within a period of three weeks thereafter. Needless to say that till such time the account of the petitioner under the One Time Settlement scheme is settled, no coercive action shall be taken against him. Further, it is provided that if the petitioner does not approach the bank within ten days from today, the protection granted to him shall automatically be withdrawn.
With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
