Petitioner is claiming appointment on the post of Constable (PAC) in the OBC category. Petitioner has secured 395.53 in his respective category and it is submitted that the authorities have not filled up the vacant post.
Learned Standing Counsel pointed out that the cut off in his respective category is 396 and petitioner has secured below the cut of marks. Submission of the learned counsel in that regard is not shown to be wrong.
Once the petitioner has secured marks below the cut off, he cannot have any right to be appointed as constable (PAC). It is, however, provided that in case authorities proceed to lower the merit/ cut off, the petitioner's claim for appointment shall also be examined.
With the aforesaid observation,writ petition stands disposed of.
