JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court challenging Ext.P4 issued by the Village Officer prohibiting use of loudspeaker in prayer hall. I am of the view, if the petitioner obtains certificate from the Pollution Control Board to the effect that loudspeaker that being used in the prayer hall does not exceed the limit, the certificate shall be issued to the petitioner by the Pollution Control Board. Based on that the petitioner shall approach the Deputy Superintendent of Police of competent jurisdiction for grant of permission. However, without obtaining such permission petitioner cannot use the loudspeaker. If the petitioner approaches the Pollution Control Board, the Board shall find out sound level and issue such certificate as adverted above within two weeks. Thereafter based on such certificate the competent jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police shall consider the application of WP(C).No.26450/2014-E.
2 the petitioner for issuance of permission. It is made it clear the petitioner cannot use loudspeaker without obtaining such permission.
Writ petition is disposed of as above.
