Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has surrendered his vehicle no. UP-61- 8695.
Subsequently he has also moved an application supported with an affidavit for cancellation of registration of the vehicle on 28.04.2014 as the petitioner has already sold the vehicle to scrap dealer.
In view of the above, it is directed that the authority concerned may pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner after giving to the petitioner an opportunity of hearing within three weeks from the date of issuance of certified copy of this order being placed by the petitioner within ten days from today. It is made clear that till orders are passed by the authority concerned, no coercive measures may be taken against the petitioner.
Certified copy of this order may be given to the learned standing counsel for necessary communication and compliance free of charge within 24 hours.
The writ petition stands disposed of as above. No costs.
