Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent.
The petitioner is before this Court with request to issue a direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the remaining salary of 27 months (w.e.f. 20.03.2001 upto 20.12.2004) during which period, the petitioner was undergoing treatment as he was assaulted by 4-5 hardcore criminals at the time of performing his duties and he sustain fatal injuries. Further prayer has been made to command the respondents to consider the grievances of the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders with regard to granting the remaining salary of 27 months for the period of treatment (w.e.f. 20.03.2001 upto 20.12.2004) on account of injury sustained at the time of performing his duties.
Learned Standing Counsel fairly states that in case any appropriate representation/application is moved by the petitioner before the respondent no.4, the same will be considered and decided expeditiously.
With the consent of the parties and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue, the present writ petition stands disposed of finally with a direction to the fourth respondent to look into the grievance of the petitioner and for the said purpose in case any application/representation is moved by the petitioner within ten days time from today, definitely, the same would be looked into, examined and remedied within two months further time from the date of production before him.
