Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The prayer in the present petition is to issue a direction to the State authorities to conclude the investigation of Case Crime No. 419 of 2019 registered under Section 302 I.P.C., Police Station Sachendi, District Kanpur Nagar.
It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the investigation is not being proceeded at the required pace. The charge sheet has been filed on 4.10.2019 and the present petition seeking for expeditious conclusion of the investigation is dated 1.12.2019.
Nothing much could be brought before the Court by the counsel appearing for the petitioner, which would indicate that the police authorities are not proceeding with the investigation at all.
In none of the paragraphs of the writ petition or the supplementary affidavit filed before this court, it is disclosed as to whether the statement of the first informant and other witnesses have been recorded.
In the said circumstances, this Court does not find any reason to issue any direction. However, looking to the language employed in sub-section (1) of Section 173 Cr.P.C., a direction is being issued to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kanpur Nagar to ensure that the investigation is completed at the earliest without any unnecessary delay.
