WRIT PETITION No.38978 of 2014 Order: (per the Hon’ble the Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) This Writ Petition is clearly misconceived. The alleged detenu is not detained by any police official. The allegation is that the wife of the petitioner has been detained by the in-laws and relations. In our view, this is a civil dispute and the petitioner can approach appropriate civil Court.
The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
