JUDGMENT / ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni to dispose C.C.No.492/2013 within a stipulated period of time fixed by this Court and investigate the same in accordance with law.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) for the respondent.
3.It is seen that this petitioner is A4 in C.C.No.492/2013 ie., pending before the Judicial Magistrate, Theni for offences under Sections 341,324 and 506(ii) IPC. Apart from this petitioner, there are three other accused in this case.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side), on instructions, submitted that trial in this case has begun and out of the 9 prosecution side witnesses, three witnesses have been examined and the case was posted to 27.03.2017 for examination of further witnesses.
5.Taking into consideration the nature of allegations in the chargesheet, this Court directs the trial Court to complete the trial in C.C.No.492/2013 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided, the accused cooperate with the trial by cross examining the witnesses on the day, they are examined in chief as directed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Vinod Kumar v. State of Punjab reported in (2015) 3 SCC 220. If any of the accused absconds, a fresh FIR can be registered under Section 229(A) IPC.
6. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is closed.
