JUDGMENT / ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No. 980 of 2016.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that as against one Ramya, and others, he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 23.12.2016 and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.980 of R.MAHADEVAN,J.
jv/bri 2016. After registering the case, the respondent has not conducted any enquiry and file a final report, as per law. Hence this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.980 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
