This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to investigate the case registered in Crime No.463 of 2017 on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 02.02.2017 and file final report to the concerned Court.
2. The petitioner has given a complaint dated 02.02.2017 to the respondent police, stating that on the promise given by one Mariyafelics @ Mathiazhagan that he would provide a Government job to the petitioner and his wife, the petitioner gave a total amount of Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees six lakh only) along with his educational certificates to the said person, but neither the job was secured nor the amount was returned. The complaint was registered in Crime No.463 of 2017, but no further action has been taken on the said complaint by the respondent police. Hence, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.
3. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court deems it fit to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.463 of 2017, pending on his file as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of copy of receipt of this order.
5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
