The petitioner made representation dated 03.06.2014 to the Registration Authorities asking them not to entertain any document presented by her husband, the 4th respondent herein, in relation to the property admeasuring Ac.2.50 cents in Sy.No.955 of Ayyaluru village, Ponnapuram Gram Panchayat, Nandyal Mandal, Kurnool District, for registration. By way of this writ petition, she seeks a direction to the Registration Authorities to consider and take action on the said representation.
2. Sri C.Hanumantha Rayudu, learned counsel for the petitioner, upon being asked as to the legal basis for such a representation and as to how a direction could be issued to the Registration Authorities to act upon the same, fairly stated that there is no provision in the Registration Act, 1908, which empowers the Registration Authorities to take action upon the petitioner’s representation. In that view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petition is utterly misconceived.
3. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. However, it shall be open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum for seeking relief in accordance with law. WP MP No.26478 of 2014 shall stand dismissed in consequence. No order as to costs.
