JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioners have filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to permit the petitioners to continue to raise crops in land situated in Survey No.405, No.107, Athur Village, Madhurandhagam, Kancheepuram District.
3. Mr.R.Subramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that it would be suffice to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 30.11.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law.
4. Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to pass suitable orders on the petitioners' representation dated 30.11.2016 in accordance with law.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 30.11.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
