Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order dated 23.09.2011, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to continue and complete 4th year B.S.M.E Course in the present academic year 2011- 2012 and pass such further orders.

Vijayaraghavan, SCGSC for R1 No Appearance for R2 O R D E R The petitioner has filed the present writ petition, seeking to quash the proceedings of the first respondent dated 23.09.2011 and consequently direct the respondents to permit him to continue and complete 4th year B.S.M.E Course in the present academic year 2011- 2012.
2. Although the matter was filed before the Madurai Bench of this Court, as per the orders of this Court dated 24.02.2012, the same has been transferred to this Principal Bench.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the impugned order was passed debarring the petitioner from the college for the academic year 2011-2012 and that he would be allowed to re-join the same course for the next academic year 2012-2013. As of today, the prayer sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous. Therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition, to be adjudicated.
4. In view of the above said submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous, with liberty to the petitioner to approach the College authorities, if he is further aggrieved. Consequently, the connected M.Ps are closed. No costs.
