JUDGMENT / ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent not to harass the petitioner.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that on the basis of the complaint lodged by one Vijay Singh, a case in Crime No.23 of 2010 was registered against one Rathna Ashokan and five others for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 420, 408, 477-A r/w 34 IPC, in which, the petitioner was cited as witness. Pursuant to the same, a summons came to be issued, calling upon the petitioner to appear before the respondent for enquiry on 21.11.2016. As he was ill, after getting permission from the respondent, the petitioner sent the necessary documents relating to the property in question through post. Not satisfying with the same, the respondent insisted him to give a statement against the true fact, failing which, he would be implicated as accused in the said case. Hence, this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent not to harass the petitioner, but to complete the enquiry as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
