Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for the respondents.
This Writ Petition was filed challenging endorsement NO.L.Pari.C3(M)2177/07, dated 14.09.2008 issued by the first respondent rejecting the request of the petitioner for renewal of his arms licence.
A counter affidavit is filed by the fourth respondent stating that against the rejection of renewal of arms licence, the petitioner has alternative remedy of appeal under Rule 55 of the Arms Rules 1962.
In view of the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to prefer an appeal, if so advised, to the appellate authority as provided under Rule 55 of the Arms Rules 1962 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
