Prayer in W.P.No.17474 of 2004:
Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the order bearing Ref.No.Ta.Aa.Po.Ka./ D 8/ Ve/ 164/ 03 dated 17.06.2003 passed by the 2nd respondent as arbitrary, illegal and contrary to clause 11 of the certified Standing Orders and consequently direct the respondents to grant the petitioner medical leave for 14 days and to reimburse the fine of Rs.100 which was imposed by the 2nd respondent.
Prayer in W.P.No.17475 of 2004:

For Petitioner : Mr.V.Govardhanan C O M M O N O R D E R When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner made the following endorsement and requests the Court that the writ petitions may be closed.
“It is informed that the petitioner was granted leave which has been deducted by the Management. The Petr has been transferred to MTC, Chennai & he has been granted/ credited the leave which
has been deducted. In view of the same, the writ petition may be closed.”
2.Recording the endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, these writ petitions are closed. No Costs.
