JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to provide educational loan application form to the petitioner and further direct the respondent to sanction the educational loan of Rs.5,20,750/- for his son Radhakrishnan for his B.E., Mechanical Engineering Course (4 years) at James Engineering College of Engineering & Technology, Jamespuram, Navalcaud, Near Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District.
2.Mr.N.Dilipkumar, learned counsel, takes notice for the second respondent Bank. The first respondent is deleted as per the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
3.Mr.N.Dilipkumar, learned counsel for the respondent Bank, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner already approached the respondent Bank seeking educational loan and he was also given list of documents required for sanctioning the educational loan. Subsequently, instead of approaching the respondent Bank, the present Writ Petition was filed.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent Bank has not given the application form for submitting documents and the petitioner is ready to approach the respondent Bank with necessary documents and that can be considered by the respondent Bank.
5.In view of the abovesaid submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent Bank to issue an educational loan application form to the petitioner for educational loan to his son within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall submit the application form along with necessary documents within two weeks and on such compliance, the respondent Bank shall process the application and take decision on merits and in accordance with law within four weeks therefrom. No costs.
