Petitioners are owners of the property covered by Ext.P1 pattayam. The petitioners obtained this property by virtue of a Will executed by the holder of the pattayam. Petitioners' grievance is that they approached the authority for measuring the property based on pattayam and Will.
This necessitated on account of overlapping and correction in Ext.P1 pattayam.
2. It is submitted that ultimately the Village Officer reported that as per Ext.P14 that after determining the boundaries of the properties with reference to the pattayam, mutation can be effected. On account of the delay in taking steps to determine the boundaries of the properties based on pattayam, the petitioners approached this Court.

Considering the facts, I am of the view that the 1st respondent Tahsildar shall take steps to identify the property with reference to the pattayam, Ext.P2 sketch and other relevant materials placed by the petitioner within a period of three months, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and also all other affected parties.
Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
