JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed this criminal original petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Kovilpatti to complete the trial expeditiously in C.C.No.200 of 2016 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.
3.When the matter was taken up Ms.S.Stella Bai, Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi District is present before this Court. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, would submit that all the accused are yet to appear before the trial Court.
4. Under such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to issue a blanket direction to complete the trial wihin the prescribed time. However, the trial Court is directed to take appropriate steps for securing the presence of the other accused and proceed with the trial expeditiously.
With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
