Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.
By means of present writ petition, the petitioners are seeking a writ of certiorari for quashing the impugned transfer order dated 16.06.2007 as well as relieving order dated 18.06.2010, by which the petitioners have been transferred from district Sitapur to different districts.
There appears to be no justification to enforce the order after lapse of almost three years. The transfer orders are passed to meet out the exigencies of service in pursuance of the decision taken at a particular time. There is no reason to enforce the transfer order after lapse of three years.
The writ petition is, therefore, allowed. The impugned transfer order dated 16.06.2007, so far as it relates to the petitioners, is hereby quashed. However, opposite parties are at liberty to pass afresh order to meet out the exigencies of service, if necessary.
