JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner's Writ Petition No.36487 (SS) of 2018 was finally disposed of by the Writ Court vide judgement and order dated 18.12.2018 in following terms:-
"Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed on the post of Constable. He was awarded a censure entry by means of the order dated 12.03.2014. The appeal against the censure entry was dismissed. Thereafter the petitioner had filed a revision. The revision has been allowed by means of the order dated 02.12.2015 and the censure entry awarded to the petitioner has been set aside. Therefore the petitioner is entitled for consideration of his claim for promotion on the post of Head Constable, for which the petitioner was not considered, while the promotions were made by means of the order dated 07.03.2018 and the corrigendum issued in the month of June 2018.The petitioner has preferred a representation to the opposite party no.2 on 20.11.2018, contained in Annexure No.4 to the writ petition but no decision has been taken thereon till date. Accordingly, he made an innocuous prayer for a direction to the opposite party no.2 to consider the claim of the petitioner and dispose of the representation of the petitioner within some short stipulated period.
Sri Devesh Pathak, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has no objection to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.
In view of above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the opposite party no.2 to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 20.11.2018, contained in Annexure No.4 to the writ petition in accordance with law within a period of six weeks, from the date of production of certified copy of this order."
In pursuance to the notice issued in this contempt petition, a compliance affidavit of Mr. Raj Kumar Vishwakarma, Chairman, U.P. Police recruitment Board, Lucknow has been filed. Along with the aforesaid affidavit, a copy of the decision dated 19.3.2019 taken on the representation of the petitioner has been placed on record as Annexure No.C-1 to the affidavit, in which it has been said that for future vacancies, the petitioner's case would be considered in accordance with rules.
In view of the aforesaid decision dated 19.3.2019 taken on the representation of the petitioner, nothing survives in the present contempt petition, which is hereby disposed of as having become infructuous.
However, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the aforesaid decision dated 19.3.2019 taken on his representation, he may approach the competent Court/forum, if he is so advised and law permits.
Contempt notice stands discharged.
