In this case the petitioner is a police constable, who was initially appointed in the year 1998. He was transferred and posted in the arm police under Regulation 525. He approached this Court for a direction to revert him to civil police. By the order dated 2.6.2008 his representation was rejected.
He has therefore, filed this petition against the order dated 2.6.2008 and has placed before this Court a recommendation made by the Superintendent of Police dated 28.6.2008 by which his re-transfer to the civil police has been recommended. At the present time the petitioner has completed 10 years of service.
In case, the petitioner makes a representation for his re-transfer to the civil police within a period of three weeks from today, the appropriate authority shall pass orders on the same within a period of one month thereafter in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 525. The petitioner may be given an opportunity of hearing also.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
