Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Punit Kumar Gupta, learned counsel for respondent no. 2.
Sole relief claimed by the learned counsel for the petitioner during the course of argument is a mandamus to command the respondent no. 2, U.P. Sunni Central Waqf Board to consider and decide the application dated 04.11.2016 made by the petitioner for registration of the petitioner's committee of management.
Sri Punit Kumar Gupta, learned counsel for respondent no. 2 fairly states that in case any such application has been made and is pending, the respondent no. 2 shall proceed to consider and decide the same expeditiously.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we dispose of the writ petition by directing the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, U.P. Sunni Central Waqf Board to consider and decide the application dated 04.11.2016 made by the petitioner in accordance with law by means of a reasoned and speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order before him, after notice and opportunity of hearing to all concerned.
