….Respondents THE HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION No.477 of 2013 Order: (per the Hon’ble the Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) In this matter, we are of the view that no separate order is required to be passed as by order dated 24.6.2013 passed in P.I.L. No. 82 of 2013, this Court directed the Government to finalise the action on the reports submitted by the Enquiry Officers within a period of one month from the date of communication of the said order. The aforesaid order will govern in this matter also.
We are informed that in spite of the aforesaid direction, no action has been taken, for which, contempt proceedings have been initiated. We are of the view that the contempt proceedings have to be proceeded separately and they have nothing to do with this matter.
The Public Interest Litigation is accordingly closed with the above observations.
Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall also stand dismissed. No costs.
