JUDGMENT / ORDER

Ramachandran Nair, J.,
Learned Ombudsman has submitted CDB report No. 167/2014 in respect of approval of the estimate for repair work of Thriprayar Sree Ramaswamy Temple. The total amount as per revised estimate is Rs. 23,25,000/-.
2. We heard learned Amicus curiae Sri. Krishnakumar Mangot, appearing for the learned Ombudsman and Smt. Pushpalatha learned Standing Counsel for Cochin Devaswom Board.
2. The Naveekarana Kalasa Committee has executed the work on 100% contribution basis. The initial estimate was at Rs.13,50,000/- and this Court permitted the execution work. Thereafter, during the execution of the work, additional work was also found necessary. The opinion of the Thanthri was also taken and the original estimate was revised to Rs.18 lakhs and thereafter, to Rs.23,25,000/-. The Board has also granted permission to the Naveekarana Kalasa Committee for executing the work.
3. Learned Ombudsman has perused the report Annexure I and it is reported that, the entire work is over and what is required is ratification of the estimate and execution of the work. We also direct the Local Fund Audit or the audit wing of the Devaswom Board to verify the accounts.
4. In the light of the contents of the report we approve the revised estimate.
The DBP is accordingly, disposed of.
