The petitioner is the registered permit holder of the vehicle bearing registration No.KL-13 U 9029. The original permit which was granted to the petitioner is valid till 12.11.2015 as is evident from Ext.P1. The petitioner had already taken steps to replace the existing vehicle with stage carriage No.KL-58 E 5654. The petitioner submits that he made Ext.P3 request for extension of time for replacement of his vehicle, which was expired on 12.12.2013. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider Ext.P3 as expeditiously as possible. Till such orders are passed, no action should be taken for cancelling the permit.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
