Petitioner is the registered owner of the vehicle bearing No.KL-40-H-3520, operation of which is being intercepted by the respondents, for the default in satisfying the amount covered by Exts.P2 to P5, alleging overweight and such other reasons. The road tax of the said vehicle was satisfied only up to 30.09.2014 and the effort made by the petitioner to satisfy the same for the subsequent period is being thwarted and the tax is not being accepted, referring to non-satisfaction of the fine imposed as per Exts.P2 to P5 charge memo, which made the petitioner to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner does not intend to dispute the liability covered by Exts.P2 to P5 and that the petitioner is ready to satisfy the same, for which some breathing time is sought for, by way of instalments.
3. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well, who W.P.C.No.29405 of 2014 2 summits that, the total outstanding liability flowing from Exts.P2 to P5 is nearly Rupees Sixty thousand.

After hearing both the sides, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to satisfy the liability flowing from Exts.P2 to P5 by way of 'four' equal monthly instalments, the first of it shall be effected on or before the 30th of November, 2014, followed by similar installments, to be effected on or before the 30th of the succeeding months. Subject to this, the recovery proceedings, if any, shall be kept in abeyance, for the time being. The petitioner is permitted to satisfy the tax and such other amounts due under the Kerala Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, in respect of the period from 01.10.2014, which shall be strictly provisional subject to the entire satisfaction of the liability as aforesaid.
The writ petition is disposed of.
