JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.34707 OF 2014 Date:17.11.2014 Between:
Classmate Educational Society, rep., by its President Mr. M. Ravi Prasad .. Petitioner And The National Council for Teacher Education (Statutory Body of the Government of India) Southern Regional Committee, Ganabharat Campus Road, Opposite National Law School, Nagara Bavi, Bangalore, rep., by its Regional Director .. Respondents THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.34707 OF 2014 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri K. Ramakanth Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.
An order passed by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) dated 27.03.2012 rejecting the petitioner’s Online request for recognition of D.EI.Ed Course, instead of D.E.C.Ed. Course granted to it. However, learned counsel for the petitioner states that it was only a mistake in applying Online, whereas a hard copy, which is sent by the petitioner, shows the name of the Course correctly. Since the order was passed almost two years ago and further as per Section 18 of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, the said order is appealable before the Council, I am not inclined to entertain the writ petition.
The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of permitting the petitioner to avail the aforesaid alternative remedy. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
