The petitioner is a stage carriage operator conducting services on the route Bharatha - Ayyanthole on the strength of a regular permit with a vehicle bearing Registration No.KL-02/U 9594. The vehicle is a 2005 model one. According to the petitioner, he has procured a later model vehicle bearing Registration No.KL-06/D 6798 and has submitted Ext.P4 application for replacement of the existing vehicle with the later model one. He complains that no orders have been passed on his application, Ext.P4, till date.
2. The learned Government Pleader submits that, the petitioner's application would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed thereon, without further delay.
This writ petition is therefore disposed of directing the respondent to consider Ext.P4 application submitted by the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three weeks of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
