JUDGMENT / ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.3 and 4 to pay the retirement benefits of the petitioner's husband late I.Chelliah along with monthly pension with 18% rate of interest and the monthly family pension from the month of April 2012 to the petitioner based on her representation dated 11.01.2017 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2.Mr.S.Satheeshkumar, Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.Though the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in order to get the retirement benefits and pensionary benefits payable to the late husband of the petitioner and also family pension to the petitioner, the petitioner has given two representations on 11.01.2017 and 30.01.2017, if the two representations are considered by the respondents 3 and 4 on merits and in accordance with law and accordingly, if the said benefits payable to the petitioner is paid and direction to that effect is issued, the petitioner would be satisfied.
4. Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader in this regard.
5. Considering the said submissions made by both sides, the respondents 3 and 4 are hereby directed to consider the said representations made by the petitioner dated 11.01.2017 and 30.01.2017 regarding the disbursement of retirement benefits as well as family pension and other benefits payable to the petitioner and pass orders, disbursing the said amount to the petitioner, after calculating the same, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The respondents shall take a pragmatic view and quick decision, in view of the fact that the petitioner, being a widow is suffering, after the death of her husband from the year 2012, without getting any monetary benefits, such as retirement/pensionary benefits and family pension.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
