JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel for the Kerala State Electricity Board, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself. 2. Briefly stated, both the petitioners claiming to be the wives of the deceased employee namely, Sri. K. Gopalan, applied to the respondent Board for the terminal benefits of the said deceased employee. Later, after initial rounds of litigation, both the petitioners have compromised and accordingly submitted a joint representation in Ext.P5 to have the terminal benefits shared between themselves in terms of the arrangement arrived at in Ext.P4 agreement. Complaining of the non-disbursement of the terminal benefits despite W.P.(C.) No. 32294/2014 -2-
Ext.P5 representation by the petitioners, they approached this Court.
In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P5 representation of the petitioners and take appropriate decision thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. No order as to costs.
