(Per : HON'BLE MISS JUSTICE R.M.DOSHIT) This Application under Section 5 of the Limitation Act has been preferred by the applicantappellant for condonation of delay of 639 days. The impugned judgment and order was passed on 20th March, 2001. Application for certified copy thereof was made on 17th May, 2001. Certified copy was ready for delivery on 24th May, 2001. The same was received on 26th June, 2001. The delay in receiving the certified copy has not been explained nor has the delay occurred since the receipt of the certified copy been explained. The only reason given out is that a large number of Valuation Appeals are preferred every year and that the matter had to move through the administrative procedure.
We are of the view that the aforesaid reasons given out in the Application are too vague and do not explain the gross delay of 639 days satisfactorily. Application is rejected.
