Heard Mr.Dhaval N.Vakil, learned advocate for the petitioners. It is submitted by him that by the impugned communication dated 26-5-2010 of the Collector, the order dated 2-8-2006, allotting land to the petitioners and other persons has been cancelled, for the purported reason that it was washed away by floods in the river. This has been done without prior intimation to the petitioners and without granting them an opportunity of hearing. It is further submitted that not even a copy of the impugned order has been addressed to the petitioners, who have obtained the same under the Right to Information Act. It is further submitted that certain persons similarly situated as the petitioners, are already in possession of the land; whereas this benefit is being denied to the petitioners.
