The petitioners are engaged in the business of advertising. They have filed an application dated 19.09.2018 before the Executive Officer, Nagar Palika Parishad, Basti to accept the advertisement tax for the year 2018-19 and to permit them to carry out their advertising business but the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 are neither accepting the advertisement tax nor are allowing them to carry on the business.
In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, we dispose off the writ petition with the direction to the respondent No.3 to consider and decide the above application of the petitioners in accordance with law most expeditiously, if possible, within six weeks.
The writ petition is disposed off.
