The petitioners were married on 18.2.2014. Even though in the case of Lata Singh vs. State of UP 2006 Cr.L.J. 3312, Bhagwan Dass v. State (NCT of Delhi), (2011) 6 SCC 396 and 2018 (16) SCC 602 (Nandakumar and another vs. State of Kerala and others) the Supreme Court has held that persons from different castes and religions, if get married, should be given protection by the State, it has been stated that the private respondents were disturbing the marital life of the petitioners.
From the perusal of the writ petition, it appears that the marriage between the petitioners is also registered. If there is any danger to the lives of the petitioners from the respondent no. 4, they may report the matter of the Superintendent of Police who would look into the grievance of the petitioners and give them appropriate protection.
The writ petition is disposed of.
