This is an appeal of the year 1980, where an N.A.C. has been returned with a postal remark, that is most discourteous. It reads: "जसवनत नगर कक नहह हह। अतत ववपस।". The Postal Authorities ought to know when they are carrying a process of this Court, they are carrying out sovereign duties on behalf of the Court. More effort should be put in to locate the addressee and the postal return should be complete in all particulars.
The Chief Post Master General, Government of India, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow shall ensure that processes of this Court entrusted for service to the Postal Department of Government of India are dealt with carefully by the postal agency.
Today, when the appeal is called on, no one appears on behalf of the appellants. Of the three learned Counsel, whose names are mentioned on the appellants' side, one has been elevated and the other is no more. It appears that parties have lost interest in pursuing this appeal.
This appeal is dismissed for non-prosecution.
The interim order dated 15.09.1980 stands vacated.
Let this order be communicated to the Civil Judge (Sr. Div.), Etawah through the learned District Judge, Etawah by the Registrar (Compliance) and to the Chief Post Master General, Government of India, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow within 48 hours.
